Prof. Lindy Mitchell has worked in the Peadiatric Cardiology Unit at Steve Biko Academic Hospital in Pretoria since 2004. Together with her colleagues, they have built the unit to be a center of excellence for interventional cardiology and patient care. She was awarded her Adjunct Professorship from the University of Pretoria in 2019 and was promoted to Head of Unit of Paediatric Cardiology in 2021. She is an enthusiastic teacher of undergraduate and postgraduate medical students and Fellows in Paediatric cardiology. She has served on the Executive Committee of the PCSSA since 2012 and is the current serving President of the PCSSA. Although she enjoys all fields of Paediatric cardiology, her special interests are Interventional cardiology and Fetal echocardiography.
